BATCH TREATMENT SYSTEMS
When faced with small volume non-dischargeable wastewater… solidification is an option. Many production facilities that manufacture small weekly volumes of wastewater have the water hauled off by companies like Safety Clean. This solidification system uses super-absorbent polymers to solidify the wastewater into a solid that does not leach water and will pass any paint filter test. After solidification most applications can be put in an industrial dumpster.

The system consists of a gravity pit pumping operation to a mixed equalization tank. When the operator is ready to solidify wastewater a transfer operation to the batch solidification tank is initiated.

Super absorbent polymer is added and the reaction occurs in approximately 2-3 minutes. Once the reaction has occurred the outlet knife valve is opened and the auger is turned on to bring the now solid form to a dumpster or hopper.

The “auger-like” mixer in the batch solidification tank directs sludge to the bottom outlet flange and into the horizontal transfer auger leaving the tank empty. A central electrical panel controls all pumping, mixing, and transferring operations.
